Dr. Niazi's research has advanced the field of interventional cardiology by focusing on peripheral vascular disease and coronary artery disease. At Emory, Dr. Niazi initiated the peripheral research program that continues to perform multiple studies, including studies for novel devices for FDA approval to help patients' circulation. Dr. Niazi is one of the few cardiologists that treats venous disease along with arterial diseases.
